Government Seconday School Ndapang

The only general secondary education institution in lower Pinyin

This in one of three secondary educational institutions created in 2011 by the government of Cameroon to cater the educational needs of the growing Pinyin population. It has a population of 355 students, taught by 10 teachers. Even though only 4 years old, GSS Ndapang already has a form 5 of 42 students, who will be taking the General Certificate of Education examination Ordinary Level in the 2014 session.

The school so far has only three uncompleted classrooms - the efforts of the PTA.  Around the school can be found students molding sun dry blocks anticipating the erecting of some classrooms if the aid promised by some elite trickles in.  there are some stones at the site said to have been deposited by PIFAMSA and some sand deposited by NDAHAS as aid to the school.  Being a form FIVE school with only three uncompleted classrooms - one of them partly partitioned to serve as offices, it can better understood why part of the school i.e. Forms 1 and 2 are still on a temporary site some 200m away from the permanent site.

Urgent Needs of the school:

At least four classrooms for now, plastering of the three existing classrooms, flooring, fitting door and window shutters, ceiling, toilets, electricity, and administrative block.
